The Soul of the Soil Conference invites growers, land stewards, and curious minds to gather where soil is more than dirt—it’s the foundation of life.
It is hosted by Fields of Sinsinawa, a farmer-led learning center launched in 2024
Located just minutes from Dubuque, Iowa, and Galena, Illinois, Fields of Sinsinawa is nestled in the hills and valleys of Wisconsin’s Driftless Region—a living classroom rooted in community, care, and the land.
Now in its third year, the Soul of the Soil Conference will feature two full days of learning and connection. Highlights include:
Inspiring speakers sharing practical tools and big-picture insights
Hands-on demonstrations of soil-building practices, including adaptive grazing, living roots, Stock Cropping, and planting with a purpose
An engaging panel exploring what works when adopting soil care practices and why
A guided tour of the Sinsinawa Mound campus—through farmland, pastures, oak savannas, restored prairie, and more
You’ll also enjoy farm-to-table meals, networking opportunities, and lively entertainment!
