From Bale to Blacktop: Preventing Hay-Related Road Hazards

Haul it safely.

Transporting hay on public roads changes the whole dynamic of forage production.

At first glance, transporting hay and straw should be an easy task — bale it, stack it on a trailer, and move it from one point to another. However, pulling hay on the road (even for just a few miles) is anything but easy.

We will discuss straps, slow-moving signs, hitch pins, and tires. All are part of what it takes to safely transport hay from the field or barn to its destination.
