The longer you can be out on pasture and forages, the better, but that can't happen in every situation. At times, you need to pull livestock to a sacrifice area, a portion of your farm that you set aside knowing it will be damaged but will protect your pasture. You might use sacrifice area during wet and muddy weather events and during winter.
