A Michigan native, he holds degrees from Michigan State University, Virginia Tech, and West Virginia University. His research focuses on utilizing genetic and management tools to enhance animal fitness, parasite resistance, and overall productivity in small ruminants, especially in the Southeastern U.S.

  • Dr. Alison Crane: Executive Director, Wyoming Wool Growers Association
    Dr. Crane is a seasoned small ruminant specialist and industry advocate with a strong background in sheep and goat nutrition, reproduction, and wool quality. Before joining the Wyoming Wool Growers Association, she served as an assistant professor and extension specialist at Kansas State University. Her leadership continues to elevate Wyoming’s sheep industry, now in its 120th year of advocacy and innovation.
