Dairy Grazing Pasture Walk: Quincy

Join us for a free pasture walk at Gary Weiman's dairy operation near Quincy — a chance to see how one Illinois producer is combining cover crop grazing with traditional perennial pasture to keep dairy cattle on grass as much of the year as possible.

Gary's operation includes an on-farm store selling milk and meat direct to customers, and he'll talk through how his grazing system supports that direct marketing model. Whether you're curious about integrating cover crops into your rotation, managing a dairy on pasture, or selling direct — there's plenty to learn from how Gary runs his farm!

The Day’s Schedule

  • How Gary integrates cover crop grazing with perennial pasture ground

  • Managing a dairy operation on pasture

  • Direct marketing milk and meat through an on-farm store

  • Open Q&A with Gary

This event is free and open to all Illinois producers.
