Fresh Pasture Farm Pasture Walk

  • Fresh Pasture Farms 1931 Kropp Road Millstadt, IL, 62260 United States (map)

When you nurture your pastures, you enhance animal health and reduce costs.

That’s the lesson you’ll learn at the Fresh Pasture Farms Pasture Walk from 5 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, July 9. We’ll meet Wade and Jamie, with their parents Norman and Sandy Sutter, as we explore the operation.

Registration Required

To improve soil health, Fresh Pasture increased native grasses and tackled invasive species while rotating sheep, goats, cattle, hogs, and chickens on the pastureland.

A locally sourced meal provided by Cafe on the Abbey will feature seasonal ingredients. It’s a great opportunity to ask questions, continue the conversation, and connect with others who share your interest in regenerative, rotational grazing practices.

This pasture walk is sponsored by Food Works and the Illinois Grazing Lands Coalition. Food Works is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that seeks to promote long-term farming networks that create healthy soils, healthy food, and healthy communities across the 23 Southern Illinois counties.
